I was looking forward for the A-Patch release for recently released Windows Live Messenger Wave 3 beta because without it no ‘real’ customization was not possible. A-Patch usually has over 50 customizations options ranging from interface tweaks to advertisement removal. However this version of A-Patch can only make 7 customizations to WLM due to the ‘protection’ in new Windows Live Messenger Wave 3 beta (version 14.0.5027.908). The following is quoted from one of the developers of A-Patch:

Due to the new protection in the new version of Windows Live Messenger, I can only bring you 7 options at the moment. The gurus in the Messenger community are working hard on bypassing this protection, and once it's done I will be able to bring you the normal 70+ options that A-Patch contains, God-Willing, please be patient and thank you all for your continued support :)

Not exactly what I hoped but still it’s better than nothing. At the moment only the following options are available:

  • Polygamy
  • Remove Advertisement (in IM window)
  • Remove Nudge Delay
  • Remove Nudge Shake
  • Remove Featured Content
  • Accept more than 3 files (transfers) at a time
  • Disable Windows Live Spaces Contact Card Integration

    Hey guys,

Can you suggest me a good PCI - E card which will support most of the new games? I don't want it to be too expensive, and I don't play a lot of games, but I want to be able to play games like NFS smoothly and , perhaps, a couple other games. (I'd prefer a 256 MB).

    What are your suggestions?

    THX a lot!

    cricket tragic,
As k said that 4850 is a good option that will likely play all games available today at high detail.

If that does not fit your budget, and as you said you only want to play NFS games at a decent framerate, go for a Geforce 8600GT . This should cost you around rs 12000 (For 512MB version) if you buy it from SL. It does support most new games being a DX10 supported card but don't expect to run everything at high.

If you can spend a little more, check out the Geforce 9600GT or Radeon HD 3XXX series cards/ Radeon HD 4XXX series low end cards.
If you have the cash, HD 4850 is definitely worth it and if yo don't check out the mainstream models above.
