Out of the several thousands private BitTorrent trackers out there, very few specialize in niches such as lifestyle content. The Place.bz is one such private tracker. From Food, Drinking and Cooking to Magic Illusions, this tracker has a wide array of content including videos, e-books and audio files related to day to day human life. The site has been closed for a while now but that does not mean you cannot get in. In fact, you can get invited for free via their IRC invites system.
How to get invited to ThePlace.bz
- You need to get an IRC client installed. If you don’t already have one installed, we recommend you install mIRC. mIRC download links and a brief tutorial can be found here.
- Once IRC client is set up, change you nickname to whatever nickname you want to have on ThePlace tracker (in mIRC, nickname can be changed in Tools—>Options menu.
- Join ThePlace.BZ invites channel. This is located on IRC server irc.theplace.bz:6667 and the channel name is #invites. If you are using mIRC click on this direct link irc://irc.theplace.bz/invites to visit the channel.
- Don’ PM anyone just yet. First read ThePlace FAQ and Rules.
- Now visit www.theplace.bz/app.php. Read the background section carefully and answer the questions as instructed. Note that you need to answer each and every one of these (Write the answers in a text editor such as Notepad).
- Once done answering, head back to the IRC room and paste your answers along with the question number in the main channel (don’t PM). Wait for someone to respond – do not leave the channel till you have got confirmation on your new ThePlace account.

I pasted all my answers one by one in the invites channel, waited a few moments and after that i've been kicked by a mod or i don't know who the heck was that. why that? I answer somthing wrong, or should i try again later ?

you will need a software called mirc Dominique....anyway, I just visited the irc and the tracker closed signups via irc. Keep logging from mirc to the #invite channel and wait for signups to open :)

Two weeks ago i was surprised with my account disabled. When i tried to log the page there was that message. I went #invites and put the question, and according to the staff i was supposedly used a cheating software. That was a great surprise and I didnt get any explanation about what that means. When i asked about the reasons i always where banned. I really dont know how that happened. The only different thing i had done was to click the donate button and when i was in paypal page i have decided to donate when it were necessary to improve my ratio. And then i left the page. Could the sistem interpet this as if i were cheating in donation? I am sure I did not anything against the rules. I have made some contributions and never uploaded any theplace torrent to other trackers. Could somebody help me in this matter?

Im a member at every major torrent site on the web and have had my TV acct. disabled due to going over the ratio by just a lil bit accidently when paused torrents within the client recontinued to download when the PC restarted while i was sleeping.
I went to their IRC channel and explained the situation and asked if i could have my acct. reenabled. For one hr. i argued with them as they were trying to hustle me for a cash donation!?! WTF since when does a legit torrent site have their mods trying to force their members into giving a donation in order to 'buy ratio'!?
They are con-artists, ive also heard of stories about the staff/admin of these sites banning for the smallest of reasons just so they can make a profit from the members. Im disgusted! And not only am i warning everyone i know within the torrent community about this, im boycotting them for life! They wont last more than a couple of yrs now due to dishonest staff practices, and they don't deserve to have the community support.
