Fascinated by private trackers that have tons of torrents? Check out nCore. nCore tracks a huge number of movies, music, games, E-books, TV shows and other general content (both English and Hungarian) in its massive torrent index. Good news is that this veteran Hungarian BitTorrent tracker has opened invite applications probably for the very first time since its launch several years ago. nCore is not a site that has had an open signup in recent history – so invite applications are probably the next safest way to get into this awesome tracker without having to risk trading or any other forms of scams. The invite application is one of the simplest of such forms we’ve ever seen and should only take a couple of minutes to fill out. nCore staff seem to respond to successful applications pretty fast and provided that your app gets accepted, you should receive an invite usually within several hours after applying (this may change depending on the number of requests they receive).

When it comes to the number of torrents tracked, there are very few private trackers on this planet that can rival the size of nCore’s torrent index. As of 10/10/2010, this tracker had over 88000 torrents (79000 active) pointing to files of all shapes and sizes. We don’t exactly know how many registered users there are on the site (that stat does not seem to be public) but judging by the amount of seeds and leechers on new torrents and the amount of active torrents on site, this number could be well above 50k (EDIT: They in fact have 138000+ members – thanks akos and Legycsapo for pointing it out).

nCore is a private tracker with its roots in Hungary. Unsurprisingly, there are a number of releases here that are native to the country i.e. movies dubbed in Hungarian, local TV shows etc. However, it’s a useful tracker to have even if you are an English speaking user – there are tons of torrents here that point to English releases such as US and UK released movies, TV shows  games and more. nCore’s complex search feature lets you filter between Hungarian and English releases very easily (tick the categories ending with /EN if you are only searching/browsing for English content) :

nCore Search

The only drawback English speaking users might face is the layout –  site interface is completely in Hungarian and there’s no option to switch it to English. However, everyone should be able to find their way around the site without the need for a translator – nCore has pretty much the same layout as any other private tracker.

nCore Releases

As mentioned earlier, nCore is a General/0Day tracker – you can pretty much find any type of content here, including scene releases as well as P2P originated uploads. There are a number of packs indexed as well – some of these are however take from other trackers such as TL, ScT, etc. This is a ratio based site but maintaining a good ratio is not that hard thanks to the activity on site. A bonus system also exists to help those who struggle with ratio requirements.

Coming back to the invite applications, nCore has one of the simplest invite apps ever. There are only 5 fields to fill, and even there you don’t have to write much.

Site Name: nCore (http://ncore.cc)

Invite Application URL: Visit http://ncore.cc/login.php and click on Meghívó igénylés

Tips:

Following are some tips we gathered by translating the invite application text. Hungarian readers - please feel free to correct us if there are any mistakes (use the comments section).

  • Clearly specify your internet connection speed in the relevant field – ex. 2mbps upload, 1mbps download
  • Multiple submissions will get you banned
  • Summarize why you need an invite in 2-3 sentences in the relevant field. This will greatly increase your chances of obtaining an invite.
  • It may take up to 2-3 days for your invite application to be processed.

My main language is not English.
It's not important that aplication is good or not.
I waited 7 hours and got it.
    Just apply for invite.

Well, to be honest: only ~10 % of the applicants could get into the site.
Now, it's over 2000 requests... and the number is growing...

    Users: 138 093

The site has no advertisements, it is built upon the all known tracker code so will look familiar to most people. Staff leaves you alone too unless you break rules. I get only one system message a month for the new draw (Xbox360 or PS3 prize this month!)
and sometimes a system message to help out one last leecher stuck on a torrent with no more seeds.

    Open signups atm.

Thanks for letting us know akos :)
5 years is a good age

    @Rocka:
The age of a tracker isn't meaningless, trackers are like men in a way, the older they are the more mature, older trackers have a good experience of how things work, and if they managed to survive that long it's not a coincidence, it means they have a strong faithful user base, good staff, good sources, stability etc... It's a good sign.
